Sinopsis

Hello, my name is Cynthia Watke.I am a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was a missionary to Bolivia and Argentina, S.A. in the 80s, as a member of church-planting teams. During the 90s I ministered in worship, small group leadership and development, spiritual mentoring and coaching and counseling. I was a lay missioner with the UMC South Carolina Conference from 2002-2004 working with Hispanic/Latino immigrant populations; an assistant pastor and senior pastor associated with the Western North Carolina Conference of the UMC from 2004 until early 2009. I am a trained facilitator of the National Plan for Hispanic/Latino Ministry, a division of the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church.I am fascinated by and passionate about creating, living and worshiping in community in an organic church. I love contemporary and alternative worship, discipleship and disciple building, small group dynamics, and the use of fine arts in worship. My gifting and missional role is apostolic and pastoral (see www.apept.org). My leadership style is an Entrepreneur and Connector or "Relating Developer."Breathing | Space is a new non-denominational, relational, alternative & contemporary worship, organic church/ministry in the Augusta, GA area, that began initially through online interaction in the spring of 2009. This is a grassroots effort, beginning with the vision God has given me, a vision that is being and will be transferred to others who have a similar desire for alternative worship and organic community living. The Breathing | Space blogtalk radio show broadcasts live on Wednesday evenings, 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. EDT, this summer (2009). You are invited to join in the conversation.

Modern missionaries have traditionally felt a career-long calling on their life to a particular country and specific people. They have sometimes lives for up to 40 years among a particular tribe or people. 17/05/2009 Duración: 28min

Madonna wrote in her song, "Bedtime Story," that "Words are useless, especially sentences, they don't stand for anything." Does this thought resonate with you? Do you sometimes feel that all the words in the Bible are dead, that they just don't speak to you. That you're traveling on your journey and you might as well be unconscious for all the good that the Word does in your life? Martin Luther, hundreds of years ago, said, "The Bible is alive, it speaks to me; it has feet, it runs after me; it has hands, it lays hold on me." Tonight we'll discuss this mystery. Join in the conversation.
