We're Gonna Need A Bigger Podcast

In our triumphant return we discuss the playoffs and make some picks for those series that are still going on. Then we dive head first into the waters to take on the Sharks/Kings series. We analyze that and then see where the rest of the series goes with game 4... and possibly beyond?

After a long hiatus we return and talk about the crazy season thus far including: The Blackhawks Points Streak, surprise teams and injuries. We touch on realignment and player safety. Then we look at the ups and downs of the Sharks season so far.

The NHL is back and we look at how this season has started around the league. Big play by some rookies, some surprises leading the league in goals and points, standings all jumbled... definitely a crazy lockout-shortened season. We then turn our attention to the Sharks and discuss the hot start from the buys in Teal, the Scott Gomez signing, and a surging Patty Marleau. We preview the game against the Coyotes and take a quick look ahead at the rest of the homestand.

We return to our regularly scheduled intervels with a discussion on the end of the lockout and a breakdown of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement. We look at a couple of the big stories around the league heading into the season including the breaking news on Leafs GM Brian Burke being removed from his duties there. We then give a quick preview of the Sharks heading into this 48-game season and take a few stabs at looking towards the team's future.

We come back on schedule since we have some new proposals from both the NHL and NHLPA to discuss. We also talk about the breaking news of the Islanders' move to Brooklyn and relate that to relocation in general.

The NHL may be in the middle of a lockout, but we aren't! We discuss all things lockout in this all new episode.

We talk about the Stanley Cup Final and a little about what has led up to Game 6 LA vs New Jersey. Then we take a look at the Sharks since their elimination and what we can possibly look forward to in the offseason and for next season.

We take a brief look at the playoff series throughout the league as well as the trend of goonish behavior and bad officiating throughout the second season. Then we focus on the Sharks/Blues series and point out a couple of positives while calling out the negatives. We make some guesses on what they need to do to move on to the second round.

We come back after too long of a break to discuss the GM meetings, 3 Point games and the playoff races around the league. Then we get serious and look at the Sharks failures since our last podcast and zero in on a couple bright spots as they fight for their playoff lives.

We recap the trade deadline deals and non-deals. Talk about, of course, Rick Nash and laugh at Howson's asking price for him and how it was smart it was for teams to skip on that. We look at the standings around the league. We recap the disasterous roadtrip for the Sharks, the great play against the Flyers at look toward the next few games coming up in March.

We start off our 1st anniversary podcast discussing Owen Nolan's retirement. Then move onto the NHL as a whole discussing standings, trade deadline rumors and more. We ask who the Sharks might be after and what it may take to make an acquisition before the trade deadline. Then we quickly recap the last three games before looking ahead to the long road trip and packed March coming up.

The New Year has not been kind to our run times as we bring another big one at you talking about the 2013 Winter Classic, the turmoil in Montreal, Ovechkin's suspension and how it plays into the All-Star Game. Then we go in depth on the Sharks looking at each game since our last podcast and noticing the patterns that have sprung up during the past two weeks.

In our first podcast of the 2012, we talk about the realignment that will no longer happen. We look around the league at the state of the NHL at the midway point of the season. We bash the All Star game a little bit, then take a look back at the Winter Classic and look at its possible future as the Sharks may play Detroit next year. If that happens what might a Sharks alumni team look like? That helps us jump back to the present and take a look at how the Sharks have been playing recently. Then one more look ahead to the Sharks upcoming schedule.

We talk about some coaching changes, Quebec insanity, The Winter Classic (specifically 24/7 on HBO) and concussions. Then we turn our attention to the Sharks woes away from home, the amazing start to the homestand, dead ducks on the ice and looking forward to the Canucks games tonight as well as Monday.
