When we feel sadness, or the threat of sadness, our instinct is often to suppress the emotion, avoid it, distract ourselves. Do anything not to be sad. This does not give us the opportunity to process the emotion and truly get over it, instead it is suppressed and ends up affecting us in other ways...we may get feel fatigued, or find it hard to connect with others, we may become disconnected with ourselves. In this podcast we discuss how sadness can be processed in an effective manner to able us to live life fully.
