At the foot of the cross those that were there had each been on a different journey. In this message Pastor Andrew Owen points us back to the foot of the cross as the moment that everything changed and the place where we find our miracles.

This week, Pastor Pete unpacks the important biblical principle of First Fruits. The conquest of the Promised Land is linked to the fact that the Israelites honoured God with their first city, Jericho. As Christians, we too are called to honour God, by putting Him first in every aspect of our lives. Our first fruit offering, or tithing, is a demonstration of our obedience and our love for Him when we give back to Him the first and the best of what He has given us. The issue however, is never about money; the issue is – does God have our heart?

Faith starts with God, then looks at the uncertainties. Pastor Pete’s message is an encouragement to all of us, throughout His Church, to take bold steps and not be intimidated by giants, to see ourselves as conquerors and not as grasshoppers, and to stand firmly on God’s promises. We do not want to be a generation who does not fulfil their potential for lack of faith.

At the end of every year, it is tempting to reflect on the changes that took place during the last 12 months. This message, however, focusses on God’s constancy. Despite the upheavals of our times, and the uncertainties of personal circumstances, we know that we can trust the unchanging nature of God’s character, and His eternal plans and promises.

There are more than 300 prophecies predicting the birth of Jesus in the Bible. For hundreds of years, it was a hugely anticipated event. As Christians, we are truly grateful for Jesus’ First Coming; we rejoice that He came and died for us. However, we also look forward with eager anticipation to His Second Coming, when He will return in glory to establish His Eternal Kingdom.

To many, the story of Christmas may seem too good to be true, but this doesn’t mean that it is not true. And if it is true, could it be that the God of the Bible, the One who became flesh 2000 years ago, still turns up and accomplishes miracles in the chaos of our lives today?

Singleness is a God-given gift. It is not a season to be endured before finding fulfilment in marriage. The Bible in fact, champions singleness and single people, by giving us the greatest single the world ever saw, Jesus, Himself. This message explores the different ways in which single people can lead fully contented lives. After all, it is God, and not our status, who defines who we are, and fulfilment can only come when we enter into a wholeheartedly committed relationship with Him.
