Sounders Pow Wow

Another home loss is nothing to get worried about, right? Another transfer window with less than monstrous name signings is nothing to be concerned about, right? Anther match facing off against a coach who regularly takes the Sounders to school is nothing to be nervous about, right?

Sure we beat Atlanta, but that was certainly tempered by the loss at home to Portland last weekend. Much to say about that match and a few words concerning the upcoming melt down in Houston. Plus, Jonathon complains about Major League Soccer scheduling and Troy gets scared.

Picked up three points on the road, so it wasn't all bad. But there was that little blip in New York and what the Pow Wow thought about it. And an interesting matchup against last year's champs, at the T. Plus a question and Katy sings.

With the extended road trip in the rear view mirror, the Sounders can look ahead to a match against Cascadia rival Vancouver in front of a large home crowd at The T. The Pow Wow looks ahead at our expectations of the upcoming match, plus news of two of the hosts vacationing, the relevance of the US Open Cup and why it is sunflowers have such delicious seeds.

Our trip to Kansas City...marred by Johnny being Johnny and our defense being helpful to his cause. An upcoming road trip to Frisco and Montreal and playing Portland in Tacoma. All without many players available. What does the future hold? We speculate wildly. And talk of restaurants.

Although it has been far too long since last we released an episode, we have braved the long night (and travels and sickness) and return bigger than ever (just ask Jonathon's waist). A fond farewell to Dad Marshall, a short discussion of the upcoming match, questions answered, fantasy league lamented and stories about other things as well.

While there have been plenty of happenings in the world of the Sounders, the Pow Wow is barely able to discuss it. Shocking revelation, certainly. Plenty of answers to many questions and a prediction or three.

If you want to watch something dull and often painful, take a gander at last week's snoozer against the Whitecaps. Thankfully the boys in Rave Green are coming home to entertain and delight the masses. Plus, there are questions for us (and you).

Ah, the joys that appear with a solid start to the season. It's almost enough to make the Pow Wow giddy. Almost. Plenty of answers to plenty of your questions and a little story you may want to send the children out of the room before.

A brief and late show, poorly recorded (and equally as poorly informed). But something is better than nothing. Unless the something is crap, then you might rather have no crap.

Okay, so that didn't end as well as we could have hoped. But there are many reasons to be excited about next year. And we are. No, really. We are.

Securing second place in the West puts Portland in our way to another trip to MLS Cup. And how did that work out? Also, questions aplenty.

Another big win for the boys in Rave Green and the Pow Wow had nothing to do with it (Monday game? As if.) But we are happy nonetheless. At least until we trundle off to Orlando with a depleted squad and in serious need of a few more points to guarantee a post-season appearance. Plus, the questions go deep, dark and ugly. Be a part of it, won't you?

Winning a game the Sounders certainly should have won, followed by a game where who really knows who is going to be available (for either side). Ah, life loving Major League Soccer. Thoughts on these issues and your questions.

Gotta admit that was a pretty tough way to come off a record setting win streak. But there is light from yonder window. Looking ahead, behind and into the crystal ball. Plenty of silliness on this here podcast.
